This sections highlights Margaret Borthwick's Degree Show that was held at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock in 2023 located at Custom House Quay in Greenock. This Arts Centre is in a bright and inviting modern building in a prominent location in the city centre. The exhibition was one of a series of events arranged as part of the centre's tenth anniversary celebrations.
The degree show was called 'Heartlands'. This exhibition title was inspired by a poem by a local poet, Betty McKellar, which is displayed on an information board in Parkhill Woods, Lochwinnoch. Margaret 's work for the show was influenced and impacted by the words of this poem.
